Puerto Calero:Considered to be one of the most exclusive areas in Lanzarote, the beautiful marina plays host to a selection of luxury motor cruisers and sailing boats. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants catering for all tastes, where you can spend a relaxing afternoon. Don´t miss the fascinating "Museo de los Cetaceos" (Dolphin and Whales Museum) with a real full-size skeleton of a whale at its doorstep. |
Las Salinas del Janubio: Before the eruptions of 1730-1736, it was the best natural harbour in Lanzarote. But the eruptions created a sand bar that closed this point forming a lake called La Caleta de Janubio. It is now a place of scientific interest where not only the fauna is protected, but also the traditional method of extracting salt from the seawater. It is one of the only remaining working salt flats. |

| El Golfo: It is a small typical Canarian fishing village with restaurants on the sea front offering fresh fish. It is very popular with locals, so it does get busy at the weekend. Nearby is the green lagoon (El Charco de los Clicos): a striking emerald lake produced by a concentration of algae (Ruppia Maritima) in the sea water, contrasting with the volcanic black sand beach. |

Los Hervideros: South of El Golfo are the fantastic “Boiling Pots” (Los Hervideros). The name comes from the waves crashing against the volcanic caves, with the water coming out through the holes as if it was boiling. |
